Valentine’s Day is this Friday, and in our home the season of love is in full bloom. My husband and I have been planning our menu for that night. We always opt to make a multi-course meal that we will eat by candlelight. Additionally, two of our teens have significant others for whom they have been planning gifts and surprises. Our high school senior is planning to make dinner for his girlfriend, which means that this year we actually are making “reservations” for our dining room. They will dine at 7:00; my husband and I will dine at 8:30. Yes, there’s a lot of Cupid action here.
On the work front, there also a lot of love to go around.
- PeKu’s new look– You may have noticed that there’s a new logo at the top of the page. Simple, yet attractive, I love our new logo. Plus, there’s a new layout to the entire corporate site. Have you been to our homepage? Each day’s newest articles are shown there. If you want to browse for subjects of interest, you can do so on our topics page. Already know what publication you like? Go to the portfolio page, click, and off you go!
- Triple anniversary– As I reviewed my February notes, I was pleasantly surprised to see that two of my columnists and one of my editors celebrate their five year anniversary with PeKu. As PeKu will turn six in July, this anniversary is a reminder of what a dedicated team I have. Please join me in a round of applause for Jane Wangersky, Ronald Rowe, and Anna Peel. Without their excellent writing and editing skills, PeKu would be a much smaller publishing company.
Although none of this was planned, it sure is a week filled with love here at PeKu!
